A method for the topical treatment of skin affected with acne, rosacea, or a combination thereof. Sodium chloride in a substantially pure form is topically applied to the affected skin by gently gliding the sodium chloride over the affected skin in a manner insufficient to cause abrasion and debridement of the affected skin. A solid block of about 98 % to about 100 % by weight sodium chloride free of a carrier and/or free of other topical acne-treatment medicaments and/or free of other topical rosacea-treatment medicaments should be used. The applied sodium chloride is left on the skin. Preferably, the affected skin is pre-moistened with water from shaving, bathing, splashing water on the skin, and the like prior to gliding the sodium chloride thereon.

Méthode de traitement local de la peau présentant une acné, une acné rosacée ou une combinaison de celles-ci. On applique localement du chlorure de sodium sous forme sensiblement pure sur la peau affectée, par un léger étalement du chlorure de sodium sur ladite peau affectée, d'une manière ne provoquant pas d'abrasion et de parage. Il convient d'utiliser un bloc solide constitué d'environ 98 à environ 100 % en poids de chlorure de sodium exempt d'excipient et/ou exempt d'autres médicaments de traitement local de l'acné et/ou exempt d'autres médicaments de traitement local de l'acné rosacée. Le chlorure de sodium appliqué est laissé sur la peau. La peau affectée est de préférence préhydratée avec de l'eau provenant d'un rasage, d'un bain, d'une projection d'eau sur la peau et analogue avant l'application du chlorure de sodium sur celle-ci.
