A method of treating and/or preventing cancer in a subject, preferably mammalian, more preferably human, by administering in an effective amount IL- 21 polypeptide, polynucleotide, vector comprising an IL-21 nucleic acid sequence encoding an IL-21 polypeptide, variants, and fragments thereof, thereby acting as an anti-cancer agent by reducing, ameliorating, and/or eliminating the cancer; and a method of treating and/or preventing cancer in a subject by co-administering the IL-21 polypeptide, polynucleotide, IL-21 vector, variant, and fragments thereof, with an immunotherapeutic and/or chemotherapeutic agent for the treatment and/or prevention of cancer in a subject.
L'invention concerne une méthode de traitement et/ou de prévention du cancer chez un patient, de préférence un mammifère, idéalement un être humain, par l'administration d'une quantité efficace d'un polypeptide IL-21, d'un polynucléotide, d'un vecteur comprenant une séquence d'acides nucléiques IL-21 codant un polypeptide IL-21, de leurs variantes et de leurs fragments. Ainsi, ces éléments agissent comme agent anticancéreux et réduisent, améliorent et/ou éliminent le cancer. L'invention concerne également une méthode de traitement et/ou de prévention du cancer chez un patient par la co-administration d'un polypeptide IL-21, d'un polynucléotide, d'un vecteur IL-21, de leurs variantes et fragments avec un agent immunothérapeutique et/ou chimiothérapeutique en vue du traitement et/ou de la prévention du cancer chez un patient.
