Provided is a method capable of removing a low concentration of amines contained in an exhaust gas that is discharged from a CO2 recovery process, at low temperature with high efficiency. A method of treating an exhaust gas containing carbon dioxide, the method including absorbing and removing CO2 by bringing an exhaust gas containing carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen oxides, into contact with a CO2 absorbent liquid containing amines, subsequently bringing the resultant into contact with a catalyst comprising titanium oxide and an oxide of vanadium (V), or from titanium oxide, an oxide of vanadium (V) and an oxide of molybdenum (Mo) or tungsten (W), at a temperature of 130°C to 250°C, and thereby oxidizing and removing the amines.
