A method for reducing bacterial and fungal soil pathogens which comprises applying to a soil a chemically effective amount of a lignosulfonate, the amount preferably being between 0.05 % and about 5 % on a volume/weight basis. The method is effective in controlling a number of soil pathogens and can be used to treat the soil for diseases such as potato scab disease.
L'invention concerne une méthode de réduction des pathogènes terricoles bactériens et fongiques. Cette méthode consiste à appliquer à un sol une quantité chimiquement efficace d'un lignosulfonate comprise de préférence entre 0,05 % et environ 5 % sur la base de la densité apparente. La méthode permet d'éliminer efficacement un certain nombre d'agents pathogènes terricoles et peut servir à traiter le sol contre des maladies telles que la gale ordinaire de la pomme de terre.
