A method of using a computer in a hands free environment, including the use of a gyroscopic sensor (18), in association with a mouse driver, to manipulate a computer cursor (32) across a computer screen (14) is provided. The method utilizes either voice recognition software, in association with a hierarchial command set, which allows simple commands for routine computer mouse functions, or a body mounted paddle or switch device (42) which allows simple body movements to perfrom click and drag functions of a mouse. The invention is particularly useful in association with body mounted computers having head mounted screens (22), as the method overcomes the problems of selecting computer functions while away from a desk or laptop computer.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé d'utilisation d'un ordinateur sans l'assistance des mains, impliquant l'utilisation d'un capteur gyroscopique (18), en association avec un pilote de souris, pour manipuler un curseur d'ordinateur (32) sur un écran d'ordinateur (14). Ce procédé utilise soit un logiciel de reconnaissance vocale, en association avec un ensemble d'instructions hiérarchiques, qui permet d'exécuter des fonctions de souris d'ordinateur de routine avec des instructions simples, ou un levier ou interrupteur (42) monté sur une partie du corps, qui permet d'exécuter les fonctions cliquer et tirer d'une souris avec des simples mouvements du corps. Cette invention est particulièrement utile en association avec des ordinateurs montés sur une partie du corps comportant des écrans (22) portés en position frontale sur la tête, dès lors que ce procédé élimine les problèmes de sélection des fonctions d'ordinateur, lorsqu'on se trouve à distance d'un ordinateur de bureau ou d'un ordinateur portable.
