The invention relates to a method for wireless error diagnosis and/or error correction and/or maintenance and/or preparation of the maintenance for a motor vehicle in which an inspection apparatus checks whether the vehicle has a technical fault and/or whether vehicle maintenance needs to be performed and/or whether the driver is requesting assistance, e.g. breakdown assistance by pushing a button. To improve known breakdown services, it is proposed that a state ascertainment apparatus ascertain what electrical and/or electronic components or what hardware and/or possibly what % associated software versions are available in the specific vehicle and/or what errors have occurred during operation of the vehicle and have been stored in the vehicle in the form of error data and/or what vehicle maintenance needs to be performed and what relevant maintenance data have been stored in the vehicle. In line with the invention, only the driver is able to enable setup of a telecommunication link between a service facility external to the vehicle and a service interface inside the vehicle following an appropriate offer to the driver. The telecommunication link is used to transmit identification data for the relevant vehicle and/or the hardware information ascertained by the state ascertainment apparatus and/or possibly information about associated software versions to the service facility external to the vehicle.
L'invention concerne un procédé sans fil de diagnostic et/ou d'élimination des pannes et/ou d'entretien et/ou de préparation de l'entretien d'un véhicule automobile, selon lequel un dispositif de contrôle vérifie si le véhicule présente un défaut technique et/ou si un entretien du véhicule doit être réalisé et/ou si le conducteur demande de l'aide, par exemple en cas de panne, en appuyant sur un bouton. Selon la présente invention, pour améliorer les services de dépannage connus, un dispositif de détermination d'état détermine quels composants électriques et/ou électroniques ou quel matériel électronique et/ou éventuellement quelles versions associées du logiciel sont présents dans le véhicule concerné et/ou quelles pannes se sont produites lors du fonctionnement du véhicule, et quelles pannes sont conservées en mémoire dans le véhicule sous la forme de données de panne, et/ou quel entretien du véhicule doit être réalisé et quelles données d'entretien concernées sont conservées en mémoire dans le véhicule. Selon l'invention, seul le conducteur peut établir une liaison de communication entre un dispositif de services extérieur au véhicule et une interface de services située dans le véhicule, en fonction d'une offre de ce type faite au conducteur. Lors de la liaison de télécommunication, les données d'identification du véhicule concerné et/ou les informations concernant le matériel électronique et/ou éventuellement une information sur les versions associées du logiciel, déterminées par le dispositif de détermination d'état, sont transmises au dispositif de services extérieur au véhicule.
