ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for working an end of a synthetic resin molding comprising a synthetic resin base having a metal foil laminated thereon is disclosed. The method comprises producing a thin portion at an end of the synthetic resin base by, for example, cutting, polishing or abrading and thereafter press molding the thin portion end into a desired shape. The moldings thus produced can be joined to give substantially level joints without the use of a separate joining member. Rigid metal foils such as those of stainless steel can be molded to desired shapes with the method described. The moldings produced are particularly useful for motor vehicles.
