The present invention relates to the use of a cationic liposomal preparation comprising at least one cationic lipid from about 30 mol% to about 99.9 mole%, paclitaxel in an amount of at least about 0.1 mol% and at least one neutral and/or anionic lipid from about 0 mole% to about 70 mole% for the manufacture of a pharmaceutical composition for administration (i) once in a week, (ii) twice in a week or (iii) a combination of (i) and (ii), wherein the monthly dose is about 0.1 mg/kg bw to about 20 mg/kg bw.
