ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A method and apparatus for providing a packet of sheets bound by a pair of binding elements with a suspension eye, wherein the pair of binding elements are spaced along the spine of the bound sheets and define a gap therebetween. The suspension eye is formed in the central portion of a straight piece of wire either before or after complete in- sertion of the wire through the binding elements from one end thereof.
