A method of determining the presence and quantity of wood treatment substance pesticides, water repellents, dimension stabilizers and the like, on wood is provided. The wood treatment substance is combined with a reflective material and applied to wood (8). A light beam (6) is impinged on the wood (8), and reflected light (7) measured by a spectral device (9). Color saturation level of the reflected light is determined with a microprocessor (10). From this measurement a quantity of wood treatment substance on the wood (8) can then be determined.
La présente invention concerne un procédé pour déterminer la présence et la quantité de substances de traitement du bois, de pesticides, d'hydrofuges, de stabilisateurs dimensionnels, et analogue, restant sur le bois. On applique sur le bois (8) la substance de traitement du bois combinée à un matériau réfléchissant. On dirige sur le bois (8) un faisceau lumineux, et on mesure au moins d'un spectromètre (9) la lumière réfléchie (7). Un microprocesseur (10) sert à évaluer le niveau de saturation chromatique de la lumière réfléchie. Cette évaluation peut servir de base au calcul d'une quantité de substances de traitement du bois restant sur le bois (8).
