The invention describes a method of conveying a sleeve (1) which is closed at one end and which consists of paper from a machining station (3) into a transporter means. In order to be able to convey such sleeves into the transporter means in a short time, even when the sleeves (1) are closed at one end by the integral moulding of a lid (2), it is according to the invention provided that the sleeve (1) be gripped at its edges (5) which are at the rear in the direction of movement (7) so that the sleeve is pushed in the direction of its longitudinal axis and on a straight path into the transporter means, air being blown into the interior (16) of the sleeve (1). To this end, a scraper (4) is used which is adapted for translatory movement.
