A programmable apparatus for generating a frequency modulated signal at a selected center frequency in accordance with digital data with at least first and second data levels. A modulator (331) is responsive to an input modulation signal for generating the frequency modulated signal at a frequency dependent on a quiescent voltage appearing at its input. A circuit (380) is provided for sampling and storing a value of the quiescent voltage. An addressable memory (301) stores a plurality of offsets. A programmable adding circuit (345) adds a downloaded offset voltage to the stored value of the quiescent voltage to output a high modulation voltage. A programmable subtracting circuit (349) subtracts a downloaded offset voltage from the stored value of the quiescent voltage to provide a low modulation voltage. An addressing circuit addresses the memory in accordance with a data transmission parameter for downloading a corresponding offset to the adding and subtracting circuits. A switch or multiplexor (346) is coupled to the subtracting and adding circuits for generating and applying to the modulator input an input modulation signal.
L'invention se rapporte à un appareil programmable servant à générer un signal à modulation de fréquence à un niveau de fréquence centrale sélectionnée selon des données numériques avec au moins des premier et second niveaux de données. Un modulateur (331) est sensible à un signal de modulation d'entrée afin de générer le signal à modulation de fréquence au niveau d'une fréquence dépendant d'une tension au repos apparaissant au niveau de son entrée. Un circuit (380) sert à échantillonner et stocker une valeur de la tension au repos. Une mémoire adressable (301) enregistre une pluralité de décalages. Un circuit d'addition programmable (345) ajoute une tension décalée, téléchargée, à la valeur enregistrée de la tension au repos afin d'émettre une tension à modulation élevée. Un circuit de soustraction programmable (349) soustrait une tension décalée, téléchargée, de la valeur enregistrée de la tension en repos afin de générer une tension à faible modulation. Un circuit d'adressage adresse la mémoire en fonction d'un paramètre de transmission de données en vue de transférer un décalage correspondant vers les circuits d'addition et de soustraction. Un commutateur ou multiplexeur (346) est couplé aux circuits de soustraction et d'addition afin de générer et d'appliquer à l'entrée du modulateur un signal de modulation d'entrée.
