16 ABSTRACT A method for and an apparatus of sealing containers are disclosed. Before causing thermal fusion of a thermoplastic resin sheet or film and a flange of a container, the flange and thermoplastic resin sheet or film and the flange are pre-heated by respective container and sheet material pre-heaters.
