Apparatus for the separation of scum from a liquid including a housing (22) incorporating two side walls in spaced relationship and a scraper wall disposed between said side walls. A rotational device (12) mounted in the housing (22) provides rotational motion about one or more horizontal axes. The rotational device (12) includes one or more paddles (13-16) which extend outwardly with respect to the rotation axis forming a substantial sealing engagement with the opposed inner faces of the side walls of the housing. The scraper wall and rotational device are arranged such that when immersed in water, the paddle(s) (13-16) may be rotated to become at least partly submerged and the outer periphery(ies) engage with the scraper wall to lift a portion of the water and scum above the natural level of the water.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif permettant de séparer l'écume d'un liquide, comprenant un logement (22) contenant deux parois latérales espacées et une paroi de raclage disposée entre les parois latérales. Un dispositif rotatif (12) monté dans le logement (22) fournit un mouvement rotatif autour d'un ou plusieurs axes horizontaux. Le dispositif rotatif (12) comprend une ou plusieurs aubes (13-16) qui s'étendent vers l'extérieur par rapport à l'axe de rotation formant un raccordement étanche substantiel avec les faces internes opposées des parois latérales du logement. La paroi de raclage et le dispositif rotatif sont disposés de telle sorte que lorsqu'ils sont immergés dans l'eau, la ou les aubes (13-16) peuvent être pivotées de manière à être au moins en partie immergées et la ou les périphéries extérieures entrent en contact avec la paroi de raclage pour soulever une partie de l'eau et de l'écume au dessus du niveau naturel de l'eau.
