METHOD OF AND APPARATUS FOR SYNCHRONOUSLY TRANSFERRING AN ORIGINAL AND COPYING PAPER FOR ELECTROSTATIC PHOTODUPLICATION Abstract of the Disclosure The specification discloses a method and apparatus for synchronously transferring an original and copying paper for electrostatic photoduplication. The front end of the copy- ing paper is transferred to a predetermined position where the copying paper is on standby by the time a period T1 has elapsed after a mount for the original is transferred from a stopping point in the cycle of movement of the mount. The copying paper is transferred to an exposure starting point at the same time an original placed on the mount is transferred to an irradiation starting point after a period of time T2 has elapsed after the end of the period T1, and thereafter the original is irradiated and the copying paper is transferred while the original and copying paper are transferred at a predetermined rate. By using mechanical apparatus rather than electrical equipment in the paper feed, complex wiring can be avoided, maintenance is simplified and reliability is improved.
