ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE According ti the present application a new method and apparatus is taught for the hydraulic conveying of solids of a particle size suitable fox conveying. The method includes first, mixing the particles with a liquid to such an extent to form a viscous material of high con- sistency, which is then mixed with the hydraulic conveying medium, which is free of solids. The apparatus includes a region of constriction or widening of the flow of hydraulic conveying medium to which the viscous material is added. This apparatus and method allows the hydraulic conveying to be applied to all solid materials and mixtures of solid materials as a viscous mixture is formed, which is injected in the flow of the hydraulic medium under favourable con- ditions of flow and pressure.
