ABSTRACT : A method of and a device for medical examination by radiation absorption measurement. In the plane of an analysis field each of a plurality of mutually inter- secting absorption lines defines a measuring result having the amplitude I1, whilst in a reference plane which does not coincide with the analysis field each of a corresponding number of mutually intersecting reference lines, whose projections in the analysis plane coincide with the said absorption lines, determines a reference signal having the amplitude IO. Thus, the frequency deviations and lack of homogeneity of the elements of the measuring means are substantially reduced.
