ABSTRACT: Method of and device for X-ray image processing. The method and the device in accordance with the invention utilize a recursive filter for forming a composite image from a short sequence of X-ray images, the weighting factor (?) used in the filter being a function of the number of X-ray images processed (and to be processed). When ? is suitably chosen, the ampli- tude of the composite image is maintained constant (con- stant image brightness) and each X-ray image makes an equal contribution to the composite image, while the noise level in the composite image decreases as the number of processed X-ray images increases.
