ABSTRACT A method and means for lining and over-wrapping conduits which are produced by helically winding a strip (36) in an annulus of rollers (73,74) which has the edges of the strip (36) overlapping and interengaged to allow longitudinal slip, in which the tube (1) is held at a selected diameter during placement and a winding force is applied to cause the interengaged edges to slip to progressively change the diameter of the tube (1) to engage the wall of the conduit.
