ABSTRACT An injection moulding method in which an elongated core is projected into the hollow of a die and has its inner end stabilized by engaging an aligning surface on the core with a mating aligning surface on the die at commencement of the injection moulding cycle. During continuation of the moulding cycle the aligning surfaces are disengaged one from the other and a membrane is formed as part of the moulding between the disengaged surfaces. In this way, the core is stabilized in the cavity during the initial injection into the cavity, thus overcoming problems of core shift or core bend.
