The invention provides an electronic document management and delivery system that allows images, text, audio, video and the like to be stored and delivered at some time in the future, providing for an automated and sophisticated "time capsule". An embodiment of the invention is defined as a method of document management comprising the steps of: providing an interface for the generation of an electronic document by an end user, and the specification by the user of a delivery time and destination; storing the generated electronic document, specified delivery time and specified destination; and responding to the specified delivery time occurring by delivering the generated electronic document to the specified destination.
