A method and system (20) for formation and withdrawal of a sample from a surface (22) to be analyzed utilizes a collection instrument (24) having a port (37) through which a liquid solution is conducted onto the surface to be analyzed. The port is positioned adjacent the surface to be analyzed, and the liquid solution is conducted onto the surface through the port so that the liquid solution conducted onto the surface interacts with material comprising the surface. An amount (52) of material is thereafter withdrawn from the surface. Pressure control can be utilized to manipulate the solution balance at the surface to thereby control the withdrawal of the amount of material from the surface. Furthermore, such pressure control can be coordinated with the movement of the surface relative to the port of the collection instrument within the X-Y plane.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système (20) de formation et de retrait d'un échantillon d'une surface (22) à analyser, utilisant un instrument de recueil (24) comportant un orifice (37) à travers lequel une solution liquide est conduite sur la surface à analyser. L'orifice est positionné à proximité de la surface à analyser, et la solution liquide est conduite sur la surface à travers l'orifice de façon à ce que la solution liquide conduite sur la surface interagisse avec le matériau comprenant la surface.
