The invention relates to a method for powder-coating a substrate (5), especially temperature-sensitive substrates such as wood, wood-fibre materials, plastic materials, rubber, woven fabric, paper or cardboard. According to said method a heat-sensitive powder is deposited as a base coat (6) on the uncoated surface of the substrate (5). The powder is then either heated continuously to cross-linking temperature by means of infrared radiation having at least fractions in the near and/or short-wave infrared range, and hardened; alternatively, the powder is continuously heated to gelling temperature, cross-linking is completed in a subsequent step and the powder is then hardened. To generate the infrared radiation the invention provides for the use of halogen lamps (7) in combination with a reflector (8) for reflecting the radiation emitted in the direction of the substrate. The halogen lamps (7) are operated in such a way that a maximum radiation flux density of the emitted radiation is in the near infrared region.
L'invention concerne un procédé qui permet de laquer par poudrage un substrat (5), notamment un substrat sensible à la température tel que bois, matériau en fibres de bois, plastique, caoutchouc, tissu, papier ou carton. On applique une poudre thermosensible de façon à former une couche de fond (6) à la surface non revêtue du substrat (5); ensuite, soit on chauffe la poudre en continu à la température de réticulation au moyen d'un rayonnement infrarouge, en utilisant au moins des fractions d'infrarouge proche et/ou à ondes courtes, puis on la fait durcir; soit on chauffe la poudre en continu à la température de gélification puis, dans une étape ultérieure du procédé, on termine la réticulation et on fait durcir la poudre. Pour générer le rayonnement infrarouge, on utilise notamment des lampes à halogène (7) associées à un réflecteur (8) qui réfléchit le rayonnement émis en direction du substrat. On règle les lampes à halogène (7) de façon qu'elles émettent un rayonnement ayant un maximum de densité énergétique dans le proche infrarouge.
