In a method for assaying an antiphospholipid antibody in a sample utilizing .beta.2-glycoprotein I, a polypeptide having the same amino acid sequence as domain IV of .beta.2-glycoprotein I or a polypeptide par- tially different therefrom but functionally equivalent thereto is used in place of .beta.2-glycoprotein I itself. According to this method, an autoantibody from patients with antiphospholipid syndrome can be accurately assayed in a simple manner.

Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé s'appliquant aux techniques de dosage d'un anticorps antiphospholipide contenu dans un échantillon, au cours desquelles est utilisée la .beta.2-glycoprotéine I. Dans ce procédé, au lieu de la .beta.2-glycoprotéine I, on utilise un polypeptide ayant la même séquence d'acides aminés que celle du domaine IV de la .beta.2-glycoprotéine I, ou un polypeptide qui est partiellement différent du premier polypeptide mentionné mais dont la fonction est équivalente, ce qui permet un dosage facile et précis d'un auto-anticorps apparaissant dans le syndrome des anticorps antiphopholipides.
