ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention concerns a method and a machine for assembly of profile rods and corner pieces into frames, preferably spacer frames for insulating window panes. The purpose of the invention is to mechanize as far as possible the assembly word and to eliminate time-consuming manual operations. This mechanization is achieved in accordance with the subject method and machine in that a corner piece is advanced in a predetermined position from a supply container to a fixture and into the latter, whereupon two profile rods are inserted in one channel each extending from the fixture and are retained individually by a pair of collet jaws while simultaneously being mounted onto the corner piece.
