The present invention relates to a method aiding in the assessment of rheumatoid arthritis. The method especially is used in assessing the absence or presence of rheumatoid arthritis in vitro. It can be best practiced by analyzing biochemical markers, comprising measuring in a sample the concentration of anti-CCP and serum amyloid A and correlating the concentrations determined to the absence or presence of rheumatoid arthritis. To further improve the assessment of RA in a method of this invention the level of one or more additional marker may be determined together with anti- CCP and serum amyloid A and be correlated to the absence or presence of RA. The invention also relates to the use of a marker panel comprising anti-CCP and serum amyloid A in the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis and it teaches a kit for performing the method of the invention.
La présente invention concerne une méthode contribuant à l'évaluation de la polyarthrite rhumatoïde. Cette méthode est tout particulièrement utilisée pour déceler l'absence ou la présence de polyarthrite rhumatoïde in vitro. Cette méthode est idéalement mise en oeuvre au moyen de l'analyse de marqueurs biochimiques qui consiste à mesurer dans un échantillon la concentration d'anti-CCP et de sérum amyloïde A et à associer les valeurs obtenues à l'absence ou à la présence d'arthrite rhumatoïde. Pour améliorer davantage cette méthode d'évaluation de l'arthrite rhumatoïde, on peut déterminer la concentration d'un ou plusieurs marqueurs supplémentaires et d'anti-CCP et de sérum amyloïde A et associer les valeurs obtenues à l'absence ou à la présence d'arthrite rhumatoïde. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation d'un ensemble de marqueurs comprenant l'anti-CCP et le sérum amyloïde A pour le diagnostic de l'arthrite rhumatoïde, ainsi qu'une trousse destinée à la mise en oeuvre de la méthode décrite ci-dessus.
