METHOD OF ATOMIZATION OF MELT FROM A CLOSELY COUPLED NOZZLE, APPARATUS AND PRODUCT FORMED ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A body of molten material having elevated melting point is atomized to produce a large percentage of fine particles by directing the molten body as a stream into an atomization zone and directing a stream of atomizing gas into said stream to atomize and disperse it. In atomizing the molten material of the stream the orifice from which the gas is delivered is positioned closely proximate the surface of the stream to be atomized.
