ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of bonding a surface of an article made from a polymethyl methacrylate resin to another surface, which comprises treating at least one of the said surfaces with an adhesive composition comprising nitromethane and/or nitroethane, contacting the said surfaces and drying the said surfaces to form a bond between the said surfaces. The second surface is preferably a surface of a polymethyl methacrylate resin article but may be of any other material as desired. The use of nitromethane and/or nitroethane in the adhesive composition has been found to improve the adhesive bond compared with the use of other solvents as adhesives.
