A method of bonding a film (2) to a curved substrate (1) comprises preforming the film by applying a pneumatic pressure difference between two sides of the film and by heating said film. An intermediate shape is then conferred on the film, which is suitable for applying the film against a curved face of the substrate. This application is carried out, on the one hand, by keeping the film m the intermediate shape by means of an adjusted pressure difference applied between the two sides of the film and, on the other hand, by pressing the substrate against the film by means of a movable support (12-14). Such a method is used to obtain a defect-free ophthalmic lens with a film bonded to it.

L'invention concerne un procédé de collage d'un film (2) à un substrat incurvé (1), comportant les étapes consistant à préformer le film en appliquant une différence de pression pneumatique entre deux faces du film et en chauffant ledit film. On confère alors au film une forme intermédiaire, qui convient à l'application du film contre une face incurvée du substrat. Ladite application est réalisée d'une part en maintenant le film dans sa forme intermédiaire au moyen d'une différence de pression ajustée appliquée entre les deux faces du film et, d'autre part, en pressant le substrat contre le film au moyen d'un support mobile (12-14). Un tel procédé est utilisé pour obtenir une lentille ophtalmique exempte de défauts à laquelle est collé un film.
