ABSTRACT This invention relates to a method of carving portrait or the like on a card and in particular to one utilizing a partition plate with a transparent portion and an opaque portion, and a photo-sensor to detect the transparent portion or opaque portion of the partition plate so as to send out a signal to an electronic switch to selectively control a literal visual frequency camera or a diagram visual frequency camera which will actuate a driving device to control a needle to work at line-carving or point-carving mold, whereby a portrait or the like may be rapidly carved on a card.
