A method and apparatus is offered of certifying delivery of a facsimile transmission. The method includes the steps of detecting a facsimile transmission from an originating facsimile machine to a destination facsimile machine. The method further includes the steps of receiving acknowledgement from the destination facsimile machine that a page of the facsimile transmission was received and certifying delivery of the page by outputting a copy of the page with indicia of delivery printed thereon.

Procédé et dispositif permettant de certifier la réception d'une transmission par télécopie. Ce procédé consiste à détecter une transmission par télécopie entre un télécopieur d'origine et un télécopieur de destination. Il consiste en outre à recevoir un accusé de réception d'un télécopieur de destination, indiquant que la page de transmission par télécopie a été reçue, puis à certifier la remise de la page par production d'une copie de cette page, sur laquelle des caractères attestant cette remise sont imprimés.
