A method for determining a process for converting instructions in a target instruction set to instructions in a host instructions set including the steps of executing code morphing software including an interpreter and a translator to generate host instructions from target instructions, detecting at intervals whether the interpreter or the translator is executing, increasing a count if the interpreter is executing and decreasing the count if the translator is executing, and changing from interpreting to translating a sequence of target instructions when the count reaches a selected maximum.
L'invention concerne un procédé de détermination d'un processus (fig. 1) à utiliser pour la conversion d'instructions d'un ensemble d'instructions cible en instructions d'un ensemble d'instructions hôte, consistant à exécuter un logiciel de morphage de codes, logiciel comprenant un interpréteur et un traducteur pour générer des instructions hôte à partir d'instructions cible, à vérifier à intervalles donnés si l'interpréteur ou le traducteur est en cours d'exécution, à incrémenter un compte si l'interpréteur est en cours d'exécution et à le décrémenter si le traducteur est en cours d'exécution, et à passer de l'interprétation à la traduction d'une séquence d'instructions cible lorsque le compte atteint un plafond déterminé.
