The invention relates to a method of changing the approach procedure of an aircraft. The inventive method comprises steps consisting in selecting a new landing strip at the destination airport and selecting a landing aid system or a non-precision approach procedure which are associated with said strip. The aforementioned selection steps comprise the direct selection of a pair that associates the new landing strip with the landing aid system or the non-precision approach procedure, said pair originating from a database containing such pairs for the destination airport.
