A method of combating a parasitic protozoal infection of a host organism, the method comprising administering tretazicar to the host organism. Tretazicar is the compound 5-(aziridin-l-yl)-2,4-dinitrobenzamide (CB 1954), and the parasitic infection is preferably an infection of Trypanosoma cruzi, T. b. brucei, Leishmania spp. particularly L. infantum, Cryptosporidium or Giardia spp.

L'invention concerne une méthode permettant de combattre une infection protozoaire parasitaire d'un organisme hôte. Cette méthode consiste à administrer du tretazicar à l'organisme hôte. Le tretazicar est le composé 5-(aziridin-l-yl)-2,4-dinitrobenzamide (CB 1954) et l'infection parasitaire est de préférence une infection of Trypanosoma cruzi, T. b. brucei, Leishmania spp. particulièrement L. infantum, Cryptosporidium ou Giardia spp.
