A method of communication in at least one cellular mobile radio system in an environment of additional mobile radio systems with mobile stations capable of communication with more than one of the systems on any of a predetermined group of radio channels, not all systems being capable and allowed to use all of the radio channels in the predetermined group, wherein all base stations transmit on at least one of the radio channels in the group information regarding system and base identity and the channels of the system, wherein a mobile station is prevented from transmitting on any of the radio channels until after receiving information on base and system identity and the channels of the system, and the allocation of a radio channel in the group for a call is deternmined by a mobile seizing an idle channel.
