A method of connecting a down spout extension to an eave trough down spout. Firstly, pivotally connect a down spout extension to a lowermost end of an eave trough down spout such that the down spout extension is movable between a substantially vertical stored position and a substantially horizontal operative position. Secondly, position a spring at the connection of the down spout extension and the eave trough down spout biasing the down spout extension into the stored position. The spring tension is set such that a flow of water through the down spout provides a force to overcome the biasing force of the spring thereby moving the down spout extension to the operative position.
La présente invention a pour objet une méthode pour le raccordement d'une rallonge à un tuyau de descente d'eaux pluviales. Premièrement, une rallonge pour tuyau de descente d'eaux pluviales est raccordée en pivotement à l'extrémité inférieure d'un tuyau de descente de gouttière, de manière à pouvoir pivoter d'une position de rangement essentiellement verticale à une position fonctionnelle essentiellement horizontale. Deuxièmement, un ressort est positionné au point de raccordement entre la rallonge du tuyau de descente et le tuyau de descente relié à la gouttière, de manière à ce que la rallonge du tuyau de descente soit maintenue dans sa position de rangement par l'action du ressort. La tension du ressort est réglée de manière à ce que la pression exercée par les eaux de pluie engouffrées dans le tuyau de descente suffise pour vaincre l'opposition du ressort et faire basculer la rallonge du tuyau de descente vers sa position fonctionnelle.
