ABSTRACT Described is a method of controlling the mould filling process of a plastics injection moulding apparatus wherein, for the purposes of avoiding fluctuations in the mass of the mouldings, due to material not being of a uniform quality, the change-over point between the filling phase and the post-pressure phase is shifted by a predetermined value in dependence on the injection work which is detected during the filling phase.
