A method of converting a two seat car into an aircraft. Pontoons are mounted to wheel mounting hubs, so a suspension system of the car is responsive to impacts acting upon the pontoons. A propeller is mounted to a back of the car with blades oriented to provided a pushing force. A motor from the car is disconnected form its drive train and connected a drive connection rotating the propeller. A wing structure is secured to a body of the car with the wing structure overlying a roof. A tail structure is secured to the body with the tail structure extending rearwardly past the back of the body. Cable connections from ailerons on the wing structure and elevators and a rudder on the tail structure to controls within a passenger compartment of the car provide control over roll, pitch, and yaw.
