The present invention relates to a method of converting a raw material stream into a product stream by passing said raw material stream through a bed of fluidized solid particles and allowing heat exchange to occur between the bed of fluidized solid particles and the raw material stream, said method being characterized in that it alternately employs a production mode and a restoration mode to control the temperature of the bed of fluidized solid particles: -said production mode comprising passing the raw material stream through the bed of fluidized solid particles and allowing the temperature of the fluidized solid particles in the bed to decrease or to increase as a result of the production energy associated with the conversion of the raw materials stream into the product stream; and -said restoration mode comprising restoring the temperature of the bed of fluidized solid particles by passing a restoration stream through the bed of fluidized solid particles to decrease the temperature of the fluidized solid particles in case the temperature of the fluidized solid particles has increased during the production mode or to increase the temperature of the fluidized solid particles in case the temperature of the fluidized solid particles has decreased during the production mode, and that -the fluidized solid particles are kept in the same reactor. The present method enables continuous operation of the fluidized bed reactor without the need of recirculating externally heated or cooled solid bed particles and/or for special heat exchange equipment placed inside or enclosing the fluidized bed reactor.
La présente invention porte sur un procédé de conversion d'un courant de matière première en un courant de produit par les opérations consistant à faire passer ledit courant de matière première dans un lit de particules solides fluidisées et à laisser se produire l'échange thermique entre le lit de particules solides fluidisées et le courant de matière première, ledit procédé étant caractérisé en ce qu'il emploie alternativement un mode de production et un mode de restauration pour réguler la température du lit de particules solides fluidisées : - ledit mode de production comprenant les opérations consistant à faire passer le courant de matière première dans le lit de particules solides fluidisées et à laisser la température des particules solides fluidisées dans le lit diminuer ou augmenter en conséquence de l'énergie de production associée à la conversion du courant de matière première en courant de produit; et ledit mode de restauration comprenant les opérations consistant à restaurer la température du lit de particules solides fluidisées par le passage d'un courant de restauration dans le lit de particules solides fluidisées pour diminuer la température des particules solides fluidisées dans le cas où la température des particules solides fluidisées a augmenté au cours du mode de production ou pour augmenter la température des particules solides fluidisées dans le cas où la température des particules solides fluidisées a diminué au cours du mode de production. Ledit procédé est également caractérisé en ce que les particules solides fluidisées sont maintenues dans le même réacteur. Le présent procédé permet un fonctionnement en continu du réacteur à lit fluidisé sans avoir besoin de faire recirculer des particules du lit solide chauffées ou refroidies de façon externe et/ou d'un matériel d'échange de chaleur spécial placé à l'intérieur du réacteur à lit fluidisé ou renfermant celui-ci.
