ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE "A method of cooling a moving metal product" A moving metal product is cooled by continuously supplying an aqueous liquid to a space of constant thickness defined between a surface of the product and a substantially parallel wall with one or more liquid inlet orifices. The liquid is supplied at such a rate that the space is completely filled and the liquid in the space is agitated by the incoming liquid.
