In order to correct nonlinearities of an amplifier (20) which receives a radio signal (d') and produces an amplified radio signal representing an input complex digital signal (m), a predistortion table, associating a value of a predistorted complex digital signal with each value of the input complex digital signal, is stored, and the predistorted complex signal (d) is modulated in order to obtain the radio signal addressed to the amplifier. In an adaptation period, a fraction (r') of the amplified radio signal is demodulated in order to obtain a demodulated complex signal (r) which is compared with the input complex signal, with which the predistorted complex signal modulated in said adaptation period is associated, in order to update the predistortion table. The input complex signal or the predistorted complex signal has a phase which is constant modulo .pi. in the adaptation period.
Pour corriger les non-linéarités d'un amplificateur (20) qui reçoit un signal radio (d') et produit un signal radio amplifié représentant un signal numérique complexe d'entrée (M), une table de prédistorsion, qui associe une valeur de signal numérique complexe prédistordu à chaque valeur du signal numérique complexe d'entrée, est stockée et le signal complexe prédistordu (d) est modulé pour produire le signal radio transmis à l'amplificateur. Dans une période d'adaptation, une fraction (r') du signal radio amplifié est démodulée pour produire un signal complexe démodulé (r) qui est comparé au signal complexe d'entrée auquel le signal complexe prédistordu modulé dans ladite période d'adaptation est associé, pour mettre à jour la table de prédistorsion. Le signal complexe d'entrée ou le signal complexe prédistordu a une phase constante modulo dans la période d'adaptation.
