The invention concerns a method of cutting blocks (1) of hard materials into plates by the action of an abrasive, which is added in the loose state and a continuous circulating fixed carrier (7). As a result of being guided in peripheral grooves in coaxial rollers (2, 3) of a roller system, the carrier forms a chain which presses through the material to be cut. The carrier, for example a sawing wire, which runs in the peripheral grooves in the rollers of a roller system comprising at least one pair of deflection rollers (2) and at least one pair of guide rollers (3), is pressed into the material to be cut such that it is guided in opposite directions in two adjacent cuts in the block.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour découper des blocs (1) de matériaux durs dans des plaques grâce à l'action d'un abrasif ajouté en vrac et d'un support fixe (7) à défilement continu. Grâce à son guidage dans des rainures périphériques ménagées dans des tambours coaxiaux (2, 3) d'un système de tambours, ce support forme une chaîne qui s'enfonce dans le matériau à découper. Le support, par exemple une scie hélicoïdale, qui défile dans les rainures périphériques des tambours du système de tambours comportant au moins une paire de tambours d'inflexion (2) et au moins une paire de tambours de guidage (3), s'enfonce dans le matériau à découper de manière à être guidé dans des sens opposés dans deux découpes adjacentes réalisées dans le bloc.
