One dimensional proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy of human stool can be used in a non-invasive method of detecting the presence of colorectal cancer and/or clinically significant adenomas. The spectrum of a patient's stool is compared in a multivariate analysis with that of stool form non-cancerous subjects, observed differences in spectra being indicative of cancer and/or clinically significant adenomas.
La spectroscopie par résonance magnétique unidimensionnelle de selles humaines peut être utilisée dans une méthode non invasive de détection de la présence d'un cancer colorectal et/ou d'adénomes cliniquement significatifs. Le spectre d'une selle d'un patient est comparé à celui des selles de patients non cancéreux, les différences observées au niveau des spectres indiquant la présence d'un cancer et/ou d'adénomes cliniquement significatifs.
