A method of reducing the tendency of the combustion flame to stabilize within the mixing zone of a tangential entry nozzle is disclosed which comprises mixing fuel and air in a mixing zone within a fuel nozzle assembly, thereby producing a first fuel/air mixture which is isolated from the combustion products by maintaining sufficiently high axial velocities throughout the mixing zone and using a combination of a second internal passageway within a centerbody (either fueled or unfueled) and the surfaces of the combustor inlet port
L'objet de la présente invention est une méthode permettant de réduire la tendance d'une flamme de combustion à se stabiliser à l'intérieur de la zone de mélange d'un injecteur avec entrée tangentielle, produisant ainsi un premier mélange air-carburant qui est isolé des produits de la combustion par le maintien de vitesses axiales élevées dans la zone de mélange et utilisant un ensemble combinant un deuxième passage interne à l'intérieur d'un corps central (alimenté ou non en carburant) et les surfaces de l'orifice d'admission de la chambre de combustion.
