A method of dispensing a metal-backed printing blanket (R) onto a printing press cylinder in a controlled fashion is provided. A carton (4) containing the rolled printing blanket (R) may be provided, and a lengthwise slit (38) or opening is opened to withdraw a mounting end of the printing blanket (R). The alignment and tension of the printing blanket is controlled as it mounts on the printing press cylinder. Parallel reference lines (42) on the carton may be used to draw alignment marks (43) on the printing blanket such that it may be properly inserted into a locking device (46) of the printing press cylinder (48). The alignment and tension may be controlled using graspable sides (36) of the carton (4).
L'invention concerne un procédé de distribution d'un blanchet d'impression à dos métallique (R) sur un cylindre de presse d'imprimerie d'une manière contrôlée. Selon l'invention, le blanchet d'impression enroulé (R) peut être contenu dans une boîte en carton (4), et une fente dans le sens de la longueur (38) ou un orifice est ouvert pour dégager une extrémité de montage du blanchet d'impression (R).
