A method of providing a remote control device for a vehicle consists of the steps of positioning an electrical field type antenna within an interior of the vehicle between a pair of parallel conductor plates so that an axis of the antenna is orthogonal to the conductor plates with the antenna extending a distance that is smaller than a distance separating other conductors in a vicinity of the pair of parallel conductor plates. Positioning a receiving unit within the interior of the vehicle at the antenna. Transmitting a predetermined radio wave with the transmitter. Receiving the predetermined radio wave with the receiving unit such that an orientation of an electrical field generated between the pair of parallel conductor plates by the transmitted predetermined radio wave substantially corresponds to the axis of the antenna, and the antenna receives an electrical field which is generated secondarily by current flowing within a body of the vehicle, whereby the receiving unit receives the predetermined radio wave reliably from a position within the interior of the vehicle.
Méthode d'installation sur un véhicule d'un dispositif de commande à distance. Cette méthode comprend les étapes suivantes : placer une antenne pour champ électrique entre deux plaques conductrices parallèles dans une section interne du véhicule, de telle façon qu'un axe de l'antenne soit orthogonal aux plaques conductrices et que l'antenne couvre une longueur inférieure à la distance séparant d'autres conducteurs voisins des deux plaques conductrices parallèles. Recevoir cette onde radioélectrique prédéterminée à l'aide d'un récepteur de telle manière que l'orientation du champ électrique produit par l'onde radioélectrique entre la paire de plaques conductrices parallèles prédéterminée corresponde à peu près à l'axe de l'antenne, celle-ci recevant un champ électrique produit de manière secondaire par la circulation du courant dans un corps du véhicule. Le récepteur reçoit ainsi l'onde radioélectrique prédéterminée avec fiabilité en un point de réception situé à l'intérieur du véhicule.
