The present invention relates to a method of electrostatically printing image- enhancing particles comprising the steps of: providing a first image on a substrate wherein the first image is formed from a composition comprising: (I) optionally, electrostatically printable image-enhancing particles, comprising: (A) an image-enhancing particle; and (B) an electrostatically chargeable material attached to an exterior surface of the image-enhancing particle, wherein the electrostatically chargeable material comprises: (i) an electrostatically chargeable polymeric material, and (ii) optionally a charge controlling compound; (II) optionally toner particles; optionally providing one or more subsequent image(s) in registration with said first image and fusing the deposition image(s). The invention also relates to novel electrostatically printable image-enhancing particles.
La présente invention concerne un procédé d'impression électrostatique de particules de rehaussement d'image. Ce procédé comporte plusieurs opérations. Une première opération consiste à réaliser sur un substrat une première image formée au moyen d'une composition comprenant, d'une part (I) éventuellement des particules d'impression électrostatique de rehaussement d'image, et d'autre part (II) éventuellement des particules de toner. Ces particules d'impression électrostatique de rehaussement d'image sont constituées (A) d'une particule de rehaussement d'image et (B) d'une matière électrostatiquement chargeable se fixant sur la surface extérieure de la particule de rehaussement d'image. Cette matière électrostatiquement chargeable est elle-même constituée (i) d'une matière polymère électrostatiquement chargeable et (ii) éventuellement d'un composé régulateur de charge. Une deuxième opération consiste à produire éventuellement une ou plusieurs images ultérieures en concordance avec la première image. Une troisième opération consiste en un passage au four de l'image ou des images déposées. L'invention concerne également de nouvelles particules de rehaussement d'image pour impression électrostatique.
