Abstract of the Disclosure The compressive strength of a hydrated hydraulic cement composition such as Portland cement concrete is enhanced by the addition of a very small amount of certain select synthetic non-ionic surface active agents to the com- positions. In a further aspect of the invention such agents are combined with other materials to produce additive compositions which affect the set cement composition in other desirable manners in addition to increasing its strength.
