The diffusion of a growth factor into and around the brain is enhanced by co- infusion with the growth factor receptor. This allows the factor to exert its biological influence over a broader range of tissue. In specific embodiments, BDNF diffusion is enhanced by co-administration of soluble trkB receptor.
