In a method for manufacturing a belt and a belt for use in the production of bulk tissue and towel, and of nonwoven articles and fabrics, a polymeric resin material is applied onto the surface of a base substrate (12) in a precise predetermined pattern which is to be imparted onto products manufactured with the belt. The polymeric resin material is deposited (14) in droplets having an average diameter of 10~ (10 microns) or more. The polymeric resin material is then set by means (36) appropriate to its composition, and, optionally, may be abraded (44) to provide the belt with a uniform thickness, and a smooth, macroscopically monoplanar surface.

La présente invention concerne, d'une part un procédé de fabrication d'un tapis, et d'autre part un tapis utilisé pour la production d'ouate de cellulose et de serviettes, ainsi que des articles et tissus en non-tissé. En l'occurrence, on applique une résine polymère sur la surface d'un substrat de base (12) selon un dispositif de tracé déterminé de façon précise, correspondant à celui devant être frappé sur les produits fabriqués avec ce tapis. Cette résine polymère est déposée (14) en gouttelettes d'un diamètre moyen de 10 ?m au moins. On fait durcir la résine polymère en utilisant les moyens correspondant à sa composition, puis, le cas échéant, on peut lui faire subir une abrasion (44) pour conférer au tapis une épaisseur uniforme, ainsi qu'une surface lisse et macroscopiquement monoplane.
